Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 10, 2026

Welcome to Sunnybooth, a free online photobooth that runs entirely in your browser. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use Sunnybooth. It’s written for transparency and is not legal advice.

1.Overview

Sunnybooth lets you take a four-shot photo strip in your browser: choose a color or black-and-white filter, pick a frame, and download the result. It was built to be private by design: your photos and videos are created and stay on your own device, and there’s no account to sign up for. This policy covers the Sunnybooth website at heysunnybooth.com and the limited third-party services that help run it.

2.Information we collect

We keep this to an absolute minimum. Sunnybooth has no user accounts, so we don’t collect names, emails, or passwords to use the app.

  • Anonymous usage data. Through our privacy-friendly analytics (see Section 5), we see aggregate, non-identifying information such as which pages are visited, approximate country, and general device/browser type.
  • Local settings. Sunnybooth saves two small, non-personal items in your browser’s local storage: a count of how many strips you’ve downloaded (used to number your files) and a flag remembering you’ve seen a one-time tip. This stays on your device and is never sent to us.

We do not collect or receive your photos, videos, or any personal identifiers.

3.Camera & photos

Sunnybooth asks for camera access only to show you a live preview and capture your shots. All photo and video processing happens locally, in your browser. Your images are never uploaded to a server, never transmitted to us, and never stored anywhere outside your device.

Because nothing is uploaded, your session lives only in your browser’s memory. When you close the tab, your photos are gone. The only copies that persist are the ones you choose to download to your device. We do not use a microphone.

4.How we use it

The little data that is involved is used only to run and improve the app:

  • Your camera feed is used in real time to build your photo strip, apply filters, and add frames, entirely on your device.
  • Anonymous, aggregated analytics help us understand how many people use Sunnybooth and which features are popular, so we can improve it.

We do not build user profiles, we do not run advertising, and we do not send marketing emails.

5.Sharing & disclosure

We never sell your data, and your photos are never shared with anyone. They don’t leave your device, so there’s nothing for us to share. Sunnybooth relies on two third-party services to operate:

  • Netlify hosts the website. Like any web host, its servers process standard technical request data (such as IP address) to deliver the page to you.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics is our analytics provider. It is cookieless, does not use fingerprinting, and does not collect personal identifiers or track individuals across sites.

We may also disclose information if required to do so by law.

6.Data retention

Since we don’t store your photos or hold accounts, there’s very little to retain. Your images exist only during your browser session and are discarded when you close the tab. The local settings described in Section 2 remain in your browser until you clear your browser data. Aggregated analytics are retained by Cloudflare in anonymized form under their standard retention policy.

7.Your choices & rights

Because Sunnybooth doesn’t collect personal data or hold accounts, most data never reaches us in the first place. You remain in control:

  • Clear local data anytime by clearing your browser’s site data for heysunnybooth.com.
  • Revoke camera access at any time through your browser or device settings.
  • Opt out of analytics by using a content blocker or your browser’s tracking protection. The app still works fully.

Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or California’s CCPA), you may have additional rights to access or delete personal information. For any privacy request or question, contact us using the details in Section 11.

8.Children’s privacy

Sunnybooth is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Because photos never leave the device and no personal data is collected, using the app does not create records about anyone, including minors who may appear in a photo. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we’ll address it.

9.Security

Sunnybooth is served over HTTPS, so the connection between your browser and our host is encrypted. Keeping photo processing on your device means there’s no central store of images to breach. That said, no method of transmission or storage is ever 100% secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.

10.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as the app evolves. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes will take effect when the updated policy is posted, so we encourage you to review it occasionally.
